Personal Statement
My name is Carson Shettlesworth. I am 5’10” and 180-pound catcher, I have a 3.72 GPA, and I am a hardworking baseball player truly dedicated to this sport. I’m an athlete who knows the game of baseball. My greatest accomplishments are currently making my high school Junior Varsity and Varsity baseball teams as a freshman. Knowing that I’m capable of playing baseball in college makes me more passionate about this sport. What I can offer a team is the promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to go to the field and the last to leave. When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, I am very open to going anywhere. I am openminded about colleges and hope to find a college that fits me best. It doesn’t matter about the size or location; I would be happy to receive the opportunity for a good education and a position on the baseball team. My top two choices for a major are either Biology or Psychology. However, my major may change throughout the rest of my high school career. My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competitive level. Additionally, it is always my goal to make an impact on the team and to be an example to those after me. At the end of the day, knowing I made a difference and tried my hardest, is what I am proudest of.
