Personal Statement

Coach,

First I would like to say "THANK YOU" for taking the time to learn more about me. I know there are many other student athletes out there and I am humbled that you would take your precious time to get to know me better.

My name is Connor Donohue and I live in Missoula, Montana.

Knowing that I live in a state that is pretty much off the map for baseball, I have dedicated my time and energy over the last couple of years learning the game, honing my skills and cultivating my passion for baseball.

I have watched video of the kids playing on the dirt lots in the Dominican Republic. I have been blessed with the opportunity to see the big lights and green fields of the College World Series. "I love baseball" is the chant that keeps beating stronger and stronger in my heart. With each swing off the tee, rep behind the plate and sprint to the next base, I know I am getting closer to my goal of playing baseball at the next level.

When I come to play at your school you will get a player who will give 150% of his heart, soul and strength for the team. You will get a player who will focus academically and personally so there will not be any distractions on the field. You will get a player who encourages others to be their best through my example, my fellowship and my service to those around me. I will be a person people can respect and rely on, while walking out each day in humility and meekness.

I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you and your program.

I wish you the best of all things in the future and hope to meet you one day soon.

Take Care,

Connor Donohue

Club Information

  • Seasons of Club Experience
  • 5 seasons
  • 2017 Missoula Mavericks (American Legion)
  • 30 GAMES .304 AVG / .439 SLG / .531 OBP 98 AB / 8 2B / 4 3B / 1 HR / 19 BB / 9 HBP / 4 SB / 27 K
  • 2016 Mission Valley Mariners (American Legion)
  • 2015 Missoula Prospects / Training + Events (Travel (16U) / College World Series Training + Pirate City World Series)
  • Connor joined the Missoula Prospects in the Spring of 2015 after working out with the team through the Fall of 2014. Connor was starting catcher at 14yo on this 16U travel team. While Connor was with the Prospects he hit .322. The season was met with some challenges from a weather standpoint (many cancelled games early in the season) as well as from a coaching standpoint. Connor's love for baseball came to a point where he was challenged with the thought, "...I love baseball...but after each practice and game I feel like I don't want to play anymore..." (due to inappropriate coaching and player conduct)...so Connor made the decision to step away from the Missoula Prospects team and focus his time, effort and energy toward weight and skills training, while also attending additional Baseball Factory events. Connor continued to train and develop his skills daily through 2015 attending additional Perfect Game (SEP) showcases and Baseball Factory (OCT/NOV) events.
  • 2014 P-Town (Polson) (Babe Ruth)
  • Connor started at catcher as a 13yo (on an established team of 13 to 15yo players). His presence behind the plate was noticable as pitchers and opposing teams alike respected his catching skills and leadership on the field. He had a solid season at the plate batting .379. Connor was also selected by his coaches to represent his league by catching the "first pitch" in the opening ceremony of a new baseball complex in a neighboring town. Connor's excitement to learn more about the game of baseball and significantly improve his skills led him to attend several Baseball Factory events after this season of Babe Ruth baseball.
  • 2013 Whitefish Credit Union (Little League - Majors)
  • This was Connor's first full year of playing organized baseball. He was chosen as team captain by his fellow teammates. He started at catcher and played some innings at 1B, 3B as well as pitcher. He led his team with a .560 batting average as was selected to play on the 12yo All Star Team. Connor made the mature decision to forego his All Star season to support his family's move from Whitefish, MT to Polson, MT.
