I have loved the game of baseball ever since I was a little kid. I started young and went through all of the different levels starting with t-ball. When I was about 12 years old is when I thought to myself that I could play this game forever and be the happiest man alive. What I have learned about this truly amazing game is that it is a game of failure and it will embarrass you in a number of different ways. That is why I have trained myself to brush a bad play off during the game, but remember the feeling to correct and become a better player for the next at bat, game, etc. Also, what I have learned about myself is that I'm a contact hitter and can't be swinging for the fences. I have to stay true to myself, which is a good on-base percentage and using my base running ability. I have felt the awful feeling of defeat before, as we all have. I'm a competitor and hate losing. I love the team aspect of sports. I play football, which has taught me that it takes all eleven players to get the job done. I also wrestle, which has taught me to step up and compete more than anything. It's just you out on the mat and you can't blame anyone but yourself.
My acedemic goals for college are to always be in the top half of my graduating class and always having A's and B's in my classes. I also will strive to achieve a 3.5 or higher GPA throughout college.
