Adam Rutt (Al-Refaey) '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Adam, I will graduate high school in 2025, and baseball is my passion. I love baseball because it allows me to set myself free and it is a thrill as the direction of the game can change so quickly. I have been playing the game for most of my life; eight years to be exact. Seven of those years I played for a traveling team. One year for Cobras and six years for the Hastings Blackbirds. I am a diversified player: I've had experience as  a pitcher, out-fielder (mostly left field but some center and right) but I am currently focusing my energy on being a great catcher. I make it my personal goal, that every time I step off the field, I leave it stronger and with more knowledge and experience than I did when I stepped on it. I know that a strong mindset is everything when it comes to most things in life, but especially playing baseball. Even when my team gets behind, and I think we might lose, I stay strong and positive, and am always pushing my self and teammates to finish strong. I am just as dedicated and focused in the classroom as I am on that field and as a teammate. For me, hard work and determination is a way of life, and to this end I know that winning is great, but losing is OK too, because learning from mistakes only makes me better and stronger.
