Personal Statement
My collegiate goals consist of getting a further education, though I don't know what I want to major in yet, and to play baseball. I would be a great piece to any team because I am very flexible, I can play basically every position, I'm a natural leader, but I do know my place on a team, and I am definitely not afraid of hard work and practice. I am a very unique person in general. I Like to have fun, but I know not to over do it and when it's time to be serious and go to work. I am very coachable, I will listen to and and do whatever I am told, and I like to be critiqued because I want to get better. I am very competitive and want to win everything I am involved with and I absolutely hate losing. I'm a good people person I know how to get along with and cooperate with most all people. Academics come natural to me, I've never had a problem with them, and I would consider myself an above average student. Other than baseball, I play football, basketball, and compete in track. I've started varsity every game for every sport since I was a freshman, so I am used to having to step up and be a leader no matter what my age is, and that's the position I like to be in. This past football season I was selected to 1st team 8-man All State as a wide receiver. In being a four sport athlete I don't get to play baseball year round, so given the opportunity to play year round in college I feel that my skills would improve more than another person who has played baseball year round throughout high school. My overall goal of playing college baseball is too strengthening my game so that I can hopefully make baseball my profession and make it to the next level. I want to make baseball my future because I love it and I find the thought of having to work for a living repulsive. I want to have fun playing baseball for a living instead.
