Personal Statement
My name is Tommy McCormick V. My collegiate goals are to go to a great college, both athletically and academically. I plan to graduate with a business degree. My overriding goal is to play in the MLB, and that’s why it’s very important I attend a good college. I understand that the caliber of college is critical for my development both on and off the field. I’m a very confident player who is a natural leader, but a teammate first. I want my teammates to all play extremely well so that we can win. I’m a self-motivated hard worker, who likes to hear feedback and learn from other coaches and teammates. That’s one of the many things that separates me from other players. I’m happy when my teammates perform well or even better than me, because I know that’s how we win and continually improve. I am personally driven to be the best on the field and in the classroom, which my work ethic reflects. I know that great performance comes with a lot of hard work mentally and physically. I’m up for that. I’m a grinder.
