Spring Valley vs ...Personal Statement
Hello-
My name is Donovan Souder and I am a Junior at Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, NV. I am a left handed thrower and a right handed hitter. My primary position is left handed pitcher. I also play centerfield.
When it comes to college I would like to major in Journalism. I am a sports journalist for our school paper and I have received an award from our local newspaper for one of my articles.
I made the varsity baseball team towards the end of my freshman year in high school. As a sophomore last season, I threw 2 complete games including a 2 hit, 6 strikeout shutout. I also got the start in the quarterfinals of our regional playoffs and won.
I participated in the 16U USA Baseball NTIS in Cary, NC in August 2017. I was selected to pitch in the semi-final game vs. Southern California. I threw 6 2/3 innings, walking 1, struck out 4, and gave up only 1 earned run. We were a ground ball out away from the gold medal game before an error occurred.
I have a September birthday and I am 16 years old. I currently play for the Nevada Road Dawgs scout team for the fall of 2017.
