My collegiate goals and aspirations are to study computer engineering and earn a degree, while playing baseball and winning championships with the same school!
My coaches have been some of my greatest mentors. I am so grateful for them. Because of their tutelage, I have been trained to play, and have played every position on the field. It has made me a smarter and more reliable ballplayer. Give me a job to do...I will get it done, and I will do it well!
Although I am easy going by nature, I take my preparation for baseball very seriously. Year round I do strength and conditioning training, eat healthy, get plenty of rest, and maintain my arm health and strength. My work ethic is to show up early, stay late, and put quality work in. I hustle out onto the field and try to be the first player in position. When it's time to hit, I try and be the first player back in the dugout. If something doesn't go my way in a game, I just forget about it and prepare for what is next. Nothing is more fun to me than playing baseball.
I have five other siblings. Three of them are younger than me and still live at home. Two of them have intellectual disabilities. Helping them each day has matured me, taught me patience and humility, and made me kinder and more considerate to others. I am employed by New Mexico Workforce Connection helping people find jobs, our unemployment rate in my city is 2.8% the lowest in the state. I volunteer as a unified partner and coach in Special Olympics. In the summer, I volunteer with Meals On Wheels, delivering meals to shut-ins. I am the Senior Patrol Leader in my Boy Scout Troop. Lastly, I hold a youth leadership calling at my church.
