Personal Statement

I am a catcher/pitcher from Rio Rancho, New Mexico and will graduate in the 2021 class. I am able to play many other positions on the field. My coaches have labeled me their utility player. I have a 4.0 GPA. I have been on the Presidents Honor Roll for the last 5 years.  I have been in the National Junior Honor Society and also awarded the Rotary Club Award. I also volunteer at our local sports center helping younger kids and at our local food bank. After watching my mom over come a rare and aggressive cancer, and seeing all that she went through, I want to strive to be not only the best person, but also the best teammate/baseball player I can be!

I was a starter on the High School (6A)  JV team  as an 8th grader in middle school. I have played on club baseball teams for 9 years. I have been awarded an MVP award, two all tournament awards, along with a sportsmanship award. I also was selected to play on Team Southwest to compete for a spot on Team USA in Cary, North Carolina in 2014. I have been selected for round two selections for Team USA, and will be competing for another selection at the end of June, 2019.I make a habit of working on my skills other than practice. It is my dream to play baseball in college. I hope to play at the highest level possible while making a positive impact on my team. I am interested in the field of engineering. I am looking for a college with a strong reputation in academics and athletics. I am open to different regions, divisions, and types of schools.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
