John DeCastro '19 Recruiting Profile

    Ever since I was three years old, I knew that baseball had a special place in my heart. Baseball is not only a sport that I love to play, it is a career that I want to pursue at the highest level. I have a great passion for this sport, and I aspire to play it at the collegiate level. Weather it is on the diamond or in the classroom, I always give it my all to pass a challenging test, improve my swing, or to reach any goal I set for myself. I believe that I am a great candidate for your collegiate team because I am a team player, a natural leader and would do anything to give my team the best chance to win. One aspect that separates me from other recruits is the way that I accept criticism. When someone critiques my swing, for example, I am determined to work as hard as I can to improve it and be the best player I can be. Plus, I am a hard working student with a high GPA, so slacking in school would not be an issue. Overall, I aspire to be the best baseball player, student, and person I can be.
