Jakob Elder '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jakob Elder, I am 6 ft, weigh 210 pounds. I play for the Bloomfield high school Varsity Team. I started at first base for Bloomfield varsity team as a sophomore and made the transition to 3rd base during the middle of the season. In 2012 (soph) year we finished 8-8, starting 6 sophomores 1 freshman and 2 senior. In 2013 (Junior) I played all over the place in the field due to players being able to only play one position. I am a utility player and play anywhere that our team had holes defensively, We finished the season 14-3 my junior year.

I have two years of varsity experience for Bloomfield, currently with one year left of high school. I started both seasons for the varsity team, and as a  sophomore I received the Rookie Of the Year award, and my junior year I received MVP of the team. As a junior I was named Varsity Captain

What I can offer to any team is a player with that is determined to give 110% each and every day on the field. I am very resilient and hard working player. I work hard at practice and at games to assure myself giving my best each and every night. Since i was 8 years old I have dreamed about playing college baseball. I am a great leader on and off the field, trying to get players to keep their head up with the game isn't going their way. I show great leadership capability.

I want to play baseball as freshman in college, but I want to play at the high level of competition that I can. I am devoted to keep improving and trying to keep achieving goals that I set for myself. My goal is to play at a college level and show leadership capability that can bring us a national title at any division or team that I play on.
