Sean Penalver '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sean Penalver. I am a freshman at Brentwood High School in Brentwood, NY. I have been playing baseball since the age of 5. When I was younger, I also played soccer, football and basketball, but quickly realized that baseball is my passion. I have been playing travel ball since the age of 10.

In 8th grade, I was brought up and was the starting junior varsity left fielder and also played second baseman. On the mound, I am the mid-relief/closer.

In the off season, I work with a Certified Athletic Trainer 3x/week with lifting, speed and agility. My goal is to make my senior year my best year. As a team captain, I plan to be a dynamic player and a positive influence on the team. I also understand that the way I carry myself both on and off the field reflects my team, my family and my school.

I am really looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I am seeking to continue growing under experienced coaches, while playing at a high level of competitive baseball. I believe I have the talent to compete at the college level with character, high work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact at any program.

My goal is to major is computer science or Engineering. I will continue to challenge myself next year. I appreciate you taking the time to read my personal statement. I am looking forward to my next baseball challenge.
