Steven Brooks '19 Recruiting Profile

     I have played baseball since I was 6 years old.  Playing little league with my friends made learning to play baseball fun.  I have made many friendships over the years because of baseball. Over the past ten years I have worked very hard to learn and improve much of my game as a pitcher. Throughout these years, I've also been inspired by many of my coaches.  They have taught me how to play the game with good sportsmanship and how baseball is all about teamwork. 

     My goals for high school is to challenge myself academically and graduate with honors.   In addition,  I hope this leads to the opportunity to attend a great college or university where I can continue my academic and athletic goals.  I would like to study civil engineering.  

     Last year as a sophomore on the junior varsity team, I finished the year with the highest strikeout/inning ratio, fewest walks and 2nd most innings pitched on the team, I batted .333. This year as a junior, I've will continue to work extremely hard this off season and I am excited for a successful season.
