They did this behind the bat of Dave Vaccaro (2013, Fairport, NY) who was 2-3 in the game. Vaccaro showed off his fluid stroke and good bat speed hitting a double and a home run in the game. He was patient at the plate waiting for his pitch and once he saw it he used his good lift to hit to ball a long ways. Vaccaro drove in one run and scored two for the Canes. He also showed easy fluid defensive action in the infield along with a quick release and online carry.

OVERALL Class Rating: 5 Position Projection: SS [Tool Grade Scale] [Class Rating Scale] 4/29/2012 - Premium Video Program - Rochester, NY Dave showed solid improvements in NY since his last workout in Pirate City. Defensively, Dave raised his tool grade from 45 to 48, showing soft hands, fluid feet, and fielding in a low / athletic position. He has a quick 1st step, a clean / quick exchange, and he throws with accuracy from a quick arm action. His radar velocity also improved 78 to 86 mph. Not rushing to throw, and more front side can help improve defensive tool grades. Offensively, Dave has a square set-up, a proper load, and a short / square stride. He has good balance, fast bat speed, and he uses his lower 1/2 well. A more smooth trigger and not pulling off can help hitting continue to improve.
