My name is Brandon Taveras, I am currently a junior attending John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen New York. I am the starting shortstop for both my school and travel team. I am a very dedicated student athlete. I want to make the most of the rest of my high school career both academically and athletically; to better prepare myself to play at the next level and have an impact wherever I decide to attend college. I would be a good fit for your baseball program because I am a hard working student athlete who is dedicated to achieving my goals both in the classroom and on the field. During this off-season I am working very hard to increase my speed and strength to make sure I have the best junior season possible. Since starting independent athletic training in September, I have already gained 10 pounds of muscle and bettered my nutrition. I'm also working harder in the classroom this year as I know that junior year is one of the most important. I have increased my GPA from a 3.0 to a 3.5 and will keep working hard to reach a 4.0. In college I want to study sports medicine and become a sports medicine physician or an athletic trainer following my athletic career.
