I have dreamed about playing baseball at the college and professional level since I was very young. I continuously work hard towards this dream and love every aspect of the game. I will major in Communications - I think that Broadcasting/Sportscasting is where I'd like to be. My earliest memories are watching Yankees games with my mom and listening to Michael Kay on the Yes network. My career goal outside of professional ball would be to bring people joy through commentating. As I'm currently in the Wave, my high school's broadcasting class, (since Junior year) I've also found I really like videography, so I'm looking forward to exploring what the communications major has to offer.
I am a very coachable player and have respect for each and every one of my coaches and teammates. I am not a loud leader, my personality is more of a "quiet lead by example", but I do cheer for my teammates, and root them on in the field. I like to rise to each situation that I encounter on and off the field.
In school, I've earned academic and character awards in the past 4 years. I've been on the high honor roll (or higher) each semester since seventh grade. I enjoy learning and excelling in school and have been lucky to have great teachers building into me along the way. Music is also a big part of my life, and I've dedicated myself in elementary and high school to playing and growing as a musician. I've been drumming since I was 3 yrs old, and have had some amazing opportunities to play with a National Act over the last few years. I plan to continue percussion at college as well, in personal instruction and by joining an ensemble.
I am involved in a youth group at my local church and enjoy volunteering to help those in need; one of the highlights of my year is participating in Feed My Starving Children. For work, I joined the Greece Little League as an umpire, and enjoyed umping games this past summer; currently I work part-time at an amazing family restaurant near my home called Bernard's Grove (if you're ever in the area, incredible food!). I bus tables and also help the wait staff on occasion serve meals.
I will consider it a blessing to play college ball while also excelling in my major, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity.
