Matthew Podesta '25 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I want to take that passion to the collegiate level and be part of a competitive team while  getting a quality education that will help me when my baseball career is over. I bring energy, hard work and leadership to my team. As a catcher, I am a leader on the field by helping to control the speed of the game and calling plays and pitches. I also lead my teammates off the field by offering words of encouragement, lifting them up and setting an example of hard work and dedication. I am a multi-sport athlete, however, my heart and full commitment is to baseball.  I am an honor roll student in accelerated, honors and advanced placement classes. My ultimate aspiration is for my collegiate and athletic experience to help further my goal of playing professional baseball.
