Hello, My name is Kevin Klein Jr. I am currently a junior and attend Oceanside High School in Oceanside NY. I was born on April 6th 2004, Here in Oceanside. I am currently 5"11 and 185 pounds.. I am a left handed hitter and left handed thrower. My primary position is Center Field and my secondary position is Left Field, although I also will pitch a bit and play right field and first base . In my own words plain and simple, I am a ball player I love the game of baseball. Since the age of six I have played the game, I respect the game and the people I have played with. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from many great coaches, From being retired MLB players to everyday people. I know without them I wouldn't be the player that I am today. When I am not playing baseball or not in school I enjoy working out and running hurdles or playing Volleyball. School and baseball take up most of my time. I try to lift three times a week and try to hit at least 4 times a week. Over the winter months I do track to help me increase my speed. My parents always tell me to take it easy for at least one day a week, but that very rarely has stopped me from going outside and doing something. My parents are very positive people they have always supported me. When it comes to college I would like to major in Physical education. If baseball doesn't work out I would like to get into law enforcement or becoming a paid fire fighter. I would love to work for the FDNY or another large city fire department. As far as my most important accomplishments I have played varsity baseball since I was a sophomore in high school. My freshman year I started every game in left field at the Junior varsity level. I hit 4th in the lineup. I was off to a great start and i was batting a .700. Over the season i kept up with that batting average but eventually it dropped to a .400. Playing for this team particularly this team helped me find my way to control myself and not let little things get to you. After playing for my varsity summer league and batting a .444, I was sure that i was ready to start looking at playing in college. In he classroom I have averaged a GPA of 84 but this year i am on track to finish with a GPA above 90. In conclusion I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker. I try to be a better student, baseball player and person every day. On the field I communicate clear and loudly off of the field I would say I am a little quieter than most, at least t first. Coaches will usually tell me that I am very coachable and always open to listening to advice. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely
- Kevin M. Klein Jr.
