My name is Conner Raff, and I am a pitcher/outfielder for Scarsdale Hogh School. Baseball has been a passion of mine ever since I was a little kid and my love for the game has grown over the years. What I feel separates me from others is that I know how to fight through adversity and face challenges head-on. When I pitch, I do not get flustered, for example, I went to a showcase in which I faced hitters, that were bigger and older than I and I retired 10 of 11 hitters that I faced.
Playing baseball and football, have helped me in the classroom. I have learned how to manage my time and workload so that I am successful in school. I attend a very academically challenging high school, and while playing two sports I have maintained a B to B+ average. I believe that being able to play two sports and to maintain my grades will help me succeed in college.
My goal for playing baseball in college is to help my teammates and the team in whatever way I can in order to help us be the best team we can be.
My aspirations for college are to continue to get better at my overall game and I would like to study criminology or psychology. I want to study criminology or psychology because I've always had an interest in learning about why people commit crimes and what goes on inside the mind of a serial killer and how to prevent them from occurring. My eventual goal is to be a behavioralist for the FBI or federal marshalls.
