Christian Cox '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Christian Cox.  I am in the graduating class of 2024 at Shoreham-Wading River High School.  As an infielder (Shortstop, Third baseman, Second baseman, Catcher) I have been fortunate enough to play on our J.V. team as an eighth grader and playing /starting for my varsity team since tenth grade.

Baseball has always been my passion growing up.  From the time I was little I knew baseball was going to be a very big part of my life.  Playing baseball competitively for the past 7 years has taught me the highs and lows of the game.  Also it has shown me that you have to overcome adversity to succeed, which has made me determined to not give up or be discouraged from life's challenges.  

From the time I was in elementary school, academics never came easy to me.  I struggled academically, however, through hard work and perseverance I have established a 3.3 GPA, striving to continually improve on it.  I have 2 goals to achieve when attending college: one is to play baseball at the highest level of competition and to achieve academic success.  My ideal athletic experience would be one where I can make a contribution early in my college career.  I strive to be an impact player, always looking at how to help my team win.
