I have been playing baseball since the age of five. I can't remember a day over the last 12 years that I didn't want to be on the field continuing to push my personal limits as well as being a team player. Over the years, baseball has taught me passion, dedication, commitment, loyalty, and perseverance, as well as disappointment. As a primary first baseman, I can appreciate being a team player to back up the pitcher with my secondary position being a left handed pitcher. Baseball is a team effort.
I was proud to be a part of the JVA Kellenberg Memorial High School baseball team as a freshman bringing to the table a no hitter and contributing to Kellenberg being league champions for 2022. As a Sophomore, I led the Kellenberg JVA baseball team in RBI's, and as a Junior, I was able to contribute as both a first baseman and left handed pitcher. I have also had the opportunity to play travel baseball for Next Level under Coach Tommy Beirne - 2023 (Borough of Manhattan Community College) and Coach Carlos Quiroz - 2024 (Holy Trinity High School). In February of 2024, I traveled with Next Level to the Dominican Republic for a 5-day tournament. Prior to Next Level, I was with Batting 1000.
In addition to my athletic pursuits, academics are also a priority for me. Having initially struggled early in high school, including being diagnosed with a learning disability, I have applied the same persistence and commitment to excellence that I bring to the field. This has resulted in my gaining a deeper understanding of my academic strengths and needs, which I feel will help me be successful both on and off the field. My goal is to continue my athletic and academic growth at a college that values excellence in both realms.
