My name is Brady Byler and I am at Apex Friendship High School. I currently have a 4.35 GPA and am taking honors and AP courses. I would like to be challenged academically in a school that I choose and would love to play baseball as well. I hit .400 last year on my JV team as a sophomore. I have been told that I will be a starter on Varsity this season.
My height has always been a factor in my baseball life as people tend to judge a book by it's cover. I have, however, been able to use that as motivation and perform at a very high level. I have always had to work harder than the next guy, even though my metrics have been higher. That's okay with me, I prefer to be the underdog and prove that I belong and can compete with anyone.
Although I am a primary MIF, I love to play the outfield as well. I have hit 2nd in the lineup on my travel team and consistently make good contact. I know my role and it's to move runners with precise bat to ball skills. I struck out this weekend and was informed by my coach that it was the first time I struck out in 2 years (4 seasons), so I think that is pretty good.
I can assure you that I will get it done on the field and in the classroom. I am very competitive and don't like to lose, either the field or the classroom.
Give me a chance and I won't let you down!
