Personal Statement

I am a left-handed pitcher with strong velocity (87) for my age/size and I also start in the outfield and typically hit leadoff as a switch-hitter. I am a two sport athlete, also playing on my high school basketball team (I was able to dunk at 5'10").  I have accomplished honor roll all 6 semesters I've been in High School.  I was awarded my 2nd letter for varsity baseball this past season as a junior.   I got a 1330 on my SAT and a 29 on my ACT.  I am open to going to school out-of-state.

  • I pitched to 5 players in the game. I walked the first batter, he stayed in the box and started another at-bat with a 1-1 count and I struck him out. I struck out the 2nd batter. I struck out the 3rd batter. I struck out the 4th batter. I walked the 5th batter, so he stayed in the box and re-started with a 1-1 count and I struck him out also.

  • I was invited to pitch in this game and participated in the workouts as a Pitcher Only. I pitched 2 innings and the video on my profile dated 11/8/18 is actually from this event on 8/8/18. My max fastball at this event was 78 and I sat at 74-78 with my curveball at 61-64 and changeup at 64-65.

  • PBR notes: Average frame, standing 5-foot-10, 150 pounds. Simple delivery, stable over the rubber with a high leg kick up to his chin. Long arm swing with the hands positioned high as they break. High front side for some deception. Loose, above average arm speed to a high-3/4 slot. Works level, landing on-line, and square. Fastball played straight, flooding the zone at 79-82. Slight hump out of the hand on the breaking ball with gradual 1/7 tilt at 61-66. Straight change-up, slowing the arm somewhat, sitting at 68.
