Reid Bertram '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Reid Bertram and I am 6'2" 170 lbs LHP/Outfielder out of Concord, North Carolina. I am a junior at Cannon school and just turned 17 in May of 2020. I have been a starting pitcher and outfielder for the Cannon School baseball team since freshman year, and I pitch for my travel baseball team CBC 2021. For the fall season I had a .375 era, 4-0 record, with 22 K's in 18.2 innings of work. 

I set many goals whether its in the classroom or on the ball field to know what I want to strive for and how I can achieve that goal. Also I am a huge competitor no matter the task, and I'm a great teammate. Both basketball and baseball have taught me how to work in unison with a team and that transfers over to school and prepares me for aspects of life. 

Sports are big in my family as my father played basketball in high school and in college, and my grandfather played both football and basketball at Purdue University. My older sister played golf at Gardner Webb University.  But I have been playing baseball all of my life and have always had a passion for it and I would love to go to college and further my baseball and academic career.
