Being the youngest child of 5 siblings, with 3 older brothers and 1 sister, I grew up watching and playing baseball, football and basketball which set the foundation for my competitive drive. My parents always joked that some day they would appreciate my wild, aggressive, competitiveness since it would make me a good athlete. My Dad, and Coach, signed me up for T-ball when I was only 4 so I could be on my brother's team, and I have been hooked ever since. I quickly learned that I was better than most others playing the game. I recall being asked to play on my brother's 12u team for a playoff game when I was only 10 and I led the team in hitting.
Baseball has also taught me to be a bit more humble at times. I used to get very frustrated if I didn't reach base every time at bat! I now understand this is a game of failure and you have to constantly fight and grind your way through a season. Mental toughness is required.
My goal is to finish high school in 2021 with at least a 3.3 GPA, and create an opportunity for myself to play baseball at the highest level in college where I can compete and succeed both in the classroom as a Business major, and on the field. I have been blessed with a good family and good parents that have supported me my whole life. My Dad has coached me for 12 years, while my Mom comes to every one of my games!
Many of my friends like to play video games or watch TV in their spare time, but I have never had any interest in that. I constantly need to stay active, whether its weight training, playing basketball, playing baseball, working on my swing, practicing my arm angles, or fielding ground balls. I gave up playing basketball in high school so that I can totally focus on my baseball career. I spend 4-5 hours a day working on baseball skills and another hour a day weight training. Recently, as a Junior in HS, I left my family and friends behind in Orland Park, IL and transferred to a Baseball Boarding school in Charlotte, NC so I can totally dedicate my training to become a college player. I know I can be a good teammate, and help the right college program succeed!
