My Name is Jordan Thalacker, upon the completion of graduating from Parkwood High School in 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic; I accepted an opportunity to attend Methodist University. After a year of attending this school, I have determined that the college was not a good fit for me and so based on what I have learned, I am looking to move forward to another opportunity. I was a part of the developmental team at Methodist and although COVID greatly reduced our schedule, I did finish with a .452 batting average through 10 games that we played with a .692 batting average in the last 4 games I played. My primary position is left field but also played right and center field as well.
I have continued to workout and train as well as continuing my daily hitting regiment which included one on one training with my hitting coaches which has improved my exit velo by 10 mph and have gone over the 100 mph plateau.
If I was to describe myself as a player it would be a true contact hitter with power. I have worked hard to improve my strength by working out with my team and in the gym on campus as well as with the professionals at the United States Performance Center branch located in Charlotte, NC. I am currently 6"1" and 195 pounds. My goals are to continue to play baseball at the collegiate level; to do whatever it takes to help my team be the best it can be; and to the best that I can everyday so that I continue to improve and contribute.
I wish to continue my education in the Computer Science field. I am comfortable in both a junior college opportunity that leads to future college and a bachelor's degree as well as a 4-year university. Per the NCAA guidelines on eligibility for Division III athletes, One extra year is added to all spring or 2021 Athletes. This means that I still have 4 years of college eligibility.
Please take the time to review my training and game videos on my profile site.
Sincerely,
Jordan Thalacker
