I’ve played baseball ever since I was five years old, I fell in love with the game almost immediately. I’ve tried other sports but nothing made me as happy as baseball does. Baseball is my world, I’ve always dreamed of making it to the pros but even playing in college would be a dream come true.
I like to consider myself as a team player and a leader. If one of my teammates is struggling on defense or at the plate; I like to pull them aside to reassure them everyone has their rough days on either side of the ball. However they shouldn’t let it effect how they play on the other end. For example if they are struggling at the plate, it doesn’t mean they should let it effect them and mess up how they are playing in the field as well. Also I like to do what I can to keep spirits high during the game whether it’s that we are losing, it’s extremely hot, or sometimes even cold.
I like to think that I hold myself to a higher standard on the field then most. In my opinion there is always something to work on or that needs to be changed before the next game or tournament, no matter how well you do that game or weekend. I work as hard as I can in the classroom and do my best to get all my work done during the day. I’ve had all A’s for as long as I can remember and I have been in the beta club at my high school since the start of the second semester of my sophomore year. Currently I have a 4.25 gpa and I plan on keeping it up. Sure school has been rough because of the recent pandemic but I didn’t let that affect my focus on getting my school work done, even if it took longer due to a lack of in person instruction I still did the best I could to maintain my good grades.
