My name is Aiden Parks, and my love of baseball started when I was seven. Honestly, my cousin is the one who talked me into playing, but my dad played a huge role in developing me as a player. As a family, we would spend hours working on fielding and hitting. He was adamant about teaching me fundamentals. My goal is to play at the collegiate level and pursue an education beyond high school.
Even though my love is centerfield, I am a utility player and have played every position except first base. I am very competitive, but I’ve had to overcome being smaller than everyone else to prove my ability to compete. I tend to be hard on myself and have very high expectations when it comes to playing, which makes me strive to be better every time I step on the field. While I understand that winning is a group effort, showing compassion towards my teammates is one of my biggest qualities. I am not here to tear down my teammates, but to encourage them.
