When I was 11 years old my father wanted me to play a sport. I never had much interest in sports before then, but he wanted me to join a team for the exercise and to incorporate the values learned by being a part of a team. After my first time playing, I fell in love with the sport of baseball and wanted to take it as far as I could. Through playing this sport, I have learned the values of teamwork, integrity, leadership, and confidence which have shaped me into the person I am today. When my family moved from Florida to NC in 2018, I had to learn to adapt to a new school and athletic program. I feel this has made me a better student-athlete by teaching me resilience, giving me confidence and inspiration to focus more on my craft and getting to that next level. On the field, I have become known with my teams for having great arm strength, and speed. Academically, I wish to be ranked highly among my peers in my class and take that mindset with me into college. I am considering a major in business or pre-law. My long term goal is to go to law school. I am certain that I have the tools and the commitment necessary to be able to play and maintain my academic level in an athletic program.
