Personal Statement
I am Gabriel Hall, but all of my friends and teammates call me Gabe. I live in Raleigh, NC and am currently Homeschooled. I have been Homeschooled for my entire education. I believe this experience has shaped me to be very caring about others and has given me the opportunity to branch out and understand what I am passionate about. One of those things is baseball.
I have been playing baseball for as long as I can remember, and I can't imagine my life without it. I feel that baseball has always been a fun thing to look forward to and continues to help provide great learning experiences. An example of something that I admire about the game of baseball is the challenge. In order to be successful, hard work is needed to consistently make the necessary adjustments for anything that is hit or thrown at you. It's a sport that can treat you well in one game but be challenging the next day. I also believe that the game of baseball provides opportunities for leadership development and the ability to create lifelong friendships. There are so many great things about the game of baseball!
My high school baseball team is the Wake County Homeschool Warriors in which I am a utility player/Pitcher. For my club team, the Tri-State Arsenal South, I am a middle infielder/Pitcher. I have played up and started on varsity since my sophomore year and have had success against many D1, D2, and Juco ballplayers.
The reason I want to continue to play baseball in college is the competition, the experiences that come with it and the atmosphere. I want to keep learning and experiencing as much as I can and I'm willing to outwork anyone so that I can outperform others in order to further my career. Thank you for taking the time to read this statement. I look forward to hearing from you in any form or fashion!
Sincerely,
Gabe
