Hi, I’m Luke Creech, a 2026 left-handed pitcher from Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio. As a multi-position player, including corner outfield and switch-hitting, my passion is on the mound. Pitching has always been my focus, and my goal is to take my skills to the next level at a competitive college where I can grow with strong coaching and great facilities. I thrive in high-pressure moments, taking pride in the responsibility that comes with having the ball in my hand in critical games. I’m often called on to pitch against the best teams or come in in the biggest moments.
Academically, I carry a 3.3 GPA and take honors classes at Saint Ignatius, known for its academics and history of preparing students for top colleges and universities. My interest is in either engineering or business. I’m dedicated to balancing academics and athletics, knowing that each challenges me to be a more disciplined and focused individual.
In baseball, I’m a hard worker and a competitor who doesn’t shy away from a challenge. I embrace the responsibility of the game’s toughest moments, often pitching late on Sundays or against the top teams. The last few seasons, I have had a sub 1.0 ERA and always have a high strike percentage, knowing that my team relies on me in big games. I love the thrill of competing, and I’m not one to back down—I play every game with the mindset of doing whatever it takes to help my team succeed.
I’m committed to my craft and always looking to improve, whether it’s staying late for extra reps or pushing through adversity. A defining moment came a few summers ago when I unknowingly pitched a complete game on a broken foot. This experience taught me about resilience and dedication, values I bring into every game and every practice. I want to play college baseball because I love the game and am determined to keep growing as both an athlete and a teammate, ready for any challenge that comes my way. I love baseball and pitching because I love being put into big situations and moments where I can dominate and compete.
