Gabriel Snyder '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'5", 210 pound LHP/1b/of from Millersburg, Ohio. I am going to be a senior in the fall of 2012 at West Holmes High School. I am a three sport athlete and start as a quarterback and strong safety on the football team and a starting forward (captain) on the basketball team. I have started as a pitcher and first baseman for 3 years. I earned Ohio Cardinal Conference honorable mention my sophomore year. I received first team Eastern District, first team OCC, and first team Daily Record my junior year. My record this year was 9-1. I had six complete games, 60 strikeouts, three shut-outs and 5 one-hit games. My ERA was 1.12 in 62 innings pitched. My first loss was a close game against Wapakoneta (3-2) during the final four at the state tournament. I pitched a consistent 84-85 at the Cambridge tournament game and touched on 87 at the State game. My best 60 yd. run is 7.01. I feel that I am a strong two position player that includes being a LHP and a first baseman. I also batted number four on the OHIO ELITE TEAM with Coach Chris Valentine during the summer. When I graduate in 2013 I will have 11 varsity letters. I am a member of the Ohio Cardinal Conference sports leadership group that promotes good sportsmanship. I have a 3.521 GPA. My ACT score is 25 and I'm on the National Honor Society. I have volunteered my time to help younger children in football, basketball, and baseball camps. I have helped clean the football concession stand. I have loaded boxes of food and supplies for the less fortunate in a program for our community called Share -A-Christmas. I am looking for a school that has a good business program because I'm considering accounting as a major. My goal is to make an impact on the team my freshman year. I want to improve my baseball skills and have a pitching speed in the 90's for my fastball. I am open to exploring different schools, sizes, and options. Thank you for your time.
