Aaron Thomas '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Aaron Thomas Jr but I am known as AJ Thomas. I fell in love with the game of baseball at a very young age growing up watching my dad play softball, I just couldn’t wait to play. I have been playing some form of baseball for 13 years and one of my best assets as a result of my experience is the ability to play every position on the field and play it at a high level. Even though I have a favorite position, my coaches have utilized my skills at various positions to meet the needs of the team. It has always been my goal to play baseball at the collegiate level and further. My plans have not been without challenges such as missing most of my sophomore season due to an injury. It humbled me and made me work even harder to be better than I was prior to my injury.  I know that playing sports at the next level requires a lot of discipline and excellent time management skills to be successful. I have worked hard to make sure that I had a strong focus on my academics while still playing baseball almost all year long throughout high school. I am on target for receiving the Honors Diploma upon graduation in 2018. I am excited about the opportunity of being able to showcase my talents at the next level and play collegiate baseball.
