Drew Salinas '19 Recruiting Profile

Here are some notes on me and my recent high school baseball season:

* GPA: 3.5               ACT & SAT:   ACT 21

* Started every varsity game as a freshman (2016) & sophomore (2017) for Pickerington North HS in Ohio. Our HS team ended up ranked #2 in Midwest region, #23^rd nationally as we won the OHSAA Division I Championship in 2016.

* Lead Pickerington North in Hitting (.397) as a sophomore. I also was awarded 1^st team OCC – Ohio (League) and Honorable Mention All – District for 2017 season.

* Earned a spot on the U17 Team Ohio Pro Select (TOPS) team, which has many of the best players from throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania & West Virginia.

*Nominated as attendee for Ohio High School Athletic Association -Student Leadership Conference, October, 2017.

* Selected to play in the 2014 Ohio Valley USA Regional team in Cary, NC.

*Officer, Drug Free Clubs of America, 2016-current

*Officer, Pickerington High School North Student Council, 2016-current

*Student Ambassador, Title Boxing Club, Pickerington, Ohio, 2017

*Sunny-Side-Up Student Leadership member, 2016-current

I wear number 17 for TOPS and will play as a Utility player; catcher, 3^rd, 1^st, 2^nd, LF & RF.

In addition to playing baseball, I am also the starting defender for the Pickerington North soccer team for past 2 years. I earned a varsity letter as a sophomore.  This past week, 10/13/17, I was just named 10TV Athlete of the week for scoring a ‘hatrick’ in a league game.  Baseball is my favorite sport and I would love the opportunity to play at the next level.
