Alex York '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alex York and I am a Junior at Edgewood Highschool. My goal is to play college baseball and one day make it to the MLB, which has been my dream ever since I was a little kid. I am very hard working and passionate player. Every year I strive to better myself not just on the field, but as a person as well.  What makes me different from other recruits is that I devote a lot of time to baseball and still do above average in school. Also I do really good in leadership roles which helps me as a catcher because you have to make sure that both pitchers and players respect you. I don't take days off because as I look at it, each day that I'm not doing anything, someone else is working and getting better than me.  My goal is to major in Engineering because I have always been above average in math and I love being able to think of something then be able to create it.
