Tyler Louden '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyler Louden, I will be a Senior in the upcoming school year at West Liberty Salem High School (2016-2017). I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old. I am a left handed pitcher with 3 pitches (change-up, curve, and fast ball). I just completed my Junior year as a starting pitcher, outfielder, and first basemen. I earned a Varsity letter and I was selected for 2^nd team all OHC by the coaches in the conference. I am currently playing on a travel team, based out of Columbus, Ohio, named the Olentangy Aces, where I pitch and play the outfield.

I have played basketball since middle school and in my Junior year, I was a starting guard, where I earned a Varsity letter. I helped in leading our team win the OHC championship with a 14-0 League record. The team also made it to the Regional Finals. My Sophomore and Junior years, I earned Varsity letters in cross country in which I contributed to help the team win 2 OHC Championships. I have also played football since I was 8 years old and played through my Freshman year and am returning to it again my Senior year.

By being a three sport athlete it has taught me to be selfless, have a strong work ethic, and be responsible for my actions, both on and off the field. I work hard in the classroom by challenging myself with college level classes. My goal is to extend my baseball career by playing at the collegiate level and earning a degree. I think my passion, dedication, and commitment to the game of baseball will help me succeed at the next level and reach my goals.
