My goal for collegiate athletics is to be a part of a D1 baseball roster. I believe I am a good candidate for any team because of my versatility; I am able to play any position on the diamond. I'm happy to work for both the benefit of the team and my own personal development.
What sets me apart from other players is my character. I am positive and ready to learn when I come to the field. My coaches can count on me to set a positive example both on and off the field by conducting myself in an appropriate and responsible manner. I know how to have fun with my teammates and get serious when it is time to work. Off the field I like to help out coaching my 3 younger siblings in their sports and have coached for some community as well.
At practice and on game days I work hard in whatever I do and refuse to settle for anything less than my best. I'm always looking to improve both mentally and physically. I really like to watch Mike Trout on the field. His demeanor, calm and always in control, is something I try to emulate during competition. I have the ability to bounce back and refocus.
I have an extremely strong and consistent record in the classroom. I take pride in my academics and believe that playing sports has helped me prioritize my academics more effectively. Staying busy with school and sports has forced me to learn time management skills, organizational strategies and accept the fact that the work must get done before I can have fun playing baseball.
I have great family support and I am ready to work hard for my success in college.
