Joe Barnes '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello I am Joe Barnes I was born in Guatemala and raised in Oregon since I was one and a half.

My goals in life are being able to play the sport I love the most for the rest of my life or until I graduate from college. I think what makes me different from other recruits are I am a very funny and quiet person, I would put myself as a good student I listen, I ask questions. 

I would put myself as a pretty athletic person.  The two sports I am playing now are baseball and alpine ski racing.  I love baseball.  I have been playing since I was 6 in t-ball.  I love to throw and when I learned to pitch in 3rd grade, it became my favorite position as it still is today.  I am a good team player and really enjoy working with Coach Webber over the last three years, since summer of 8th grade.   

I am also an alpine ski racer. I started skiing at the age of two and then raced at the age of 7 and race on our high school team.  I also like soccer and played up through 7th grade. 

Sports come easy for me.  But I know I have to work hard to be the best I can be.  I will do that for whatever college I might attend and team I might play for.
