I believe I have what it takes play baseball at the next level. This season I recorded two no hitters. I was also just awarded pitcher of the year for my league and honorable mention all-state as a junior. I went 4-0 in league play with 54 strike outs in 33.2 innings. My ERA was 1.04 with a WHIP of 1.069. In six starts I only allowed 5 earned runs. I also batted .370 with a .500 OBP scoring 14 runs and stealing 12 bases as my team's leadoff hitter. I was even better defensively but came away with second team honors again playing first base. I maintained my 4.00 GPA. I am playing for the 19U AAA Legion team again this summer and hope to finish the job by winning a state title.
I think I would be a good candidate to consider because of my work ethic, in school and on the field. I spend many hours a week outside of normal practice time to lift weights, work out, go to the batting cages and practice. I always try to respect and treat others as I would like to be treated. When it comes down to it, I am different from other recruits because of my full commitment to the team. I want what is best for my teammates and my coaches. I hope you consider me for a spot on your team.
