I am going to play baseball at a four-year school, which has stable leadership, and an opportunity to compete. I am a good kid. My coaches say that I give high effort, lead, play hard, and am coachable. Many kids probably type those words, but if you confirm, you will find that I am old-school, and you want me next to you on the field and in the locker room.
I have never missed a single practice or game in high school in baseball, football, or basketball. There have been challenges! I once lost nine teeth and some jaw in an accident, and played a baseball game after a couple surgeries, seven days later. I played varsity QB in the 10th grade. In the 11th grade, I broke my throwing wrist, and a large bone in the other hand. I could not throw or catch. They moved me to OLB to stay on the field, and I started and played well with a big cast on one side, and metal brace on the other side. We eventually lost in the 6A playoffs, and I think I played every snap on defense. In our house, we say that adversity reveals character.
Our parents are proud of us, but we handle our own business in work, school, and sports. They come to our games and watch, but have never talked to our coaches about things like how we are doing, and playing time.
Thank you for looking at my profile.
