Personal Statement
Since I first stepped on to a baseball field, I have loved the game. Any position, anytime – I just love baseball. I know that playing baseball in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will change my whole life. I love baseball and know that I have more to learn and offer the game.
I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players on the field. My baseball career has been played in the neighboring community and with kids I only know for a few weeks of each year – I know what it is like to have to work hard to earn a place on a team and to continue to work to maintain the privilege to wear a uniform and play baseball. I intend to be one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. My transcript is full of classes that challenged me academically and personally. Among my school I have been a student leader, participated in nearly every extra-curricular activity and event, and I also volunteer around my community. I am an active member of my local 4H clubs as a county ambassador, camp counselor, and junior leader.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I will pursue a degree in engineering and computer science. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match with a team that I can continue to develop as a player. I hope to become a valuable team player, gain the training and education I need for a successful career, and make my family proud of the person I have become.
