Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Andrew Curry. I am a 6'0", 170 lb 2020 graduate of Holy Ghost Prep in Bensalem, PA. My primary position is center field. A few of my key measurables include:
- 6.83s 60-yard dash
-
86 mph outfield arm velocity -
86 mph exit velocity.
In 2018, I was a starting outfielder and earned the leadoff role for Holy Ghost's Varsity team as a Sophomore.
Outside of baseball, I have been fortunate to attend an college preparatory school with an elite academic program, and have challenged myself with a rigorous course load, including multiple honors and AP courses. Holy Ghost Prep is a Spiritan school. Through Holy Ghost, I've been provided with many service opportunities. I learned to find joy in helping those out who are in need. One example of this is a program in which I'm involved in, Athletes Helping Athletes. This program is a great fit for me as it combines athletics and helping out kids with special needs.
I have always had a passion for baseball. Ever since I can remember, I've been playing baseball. My dad was the person the really brought me into loving baseball. From the young age of four it has become a thing that I put great effort into and also enjoy.
My goal for the next phase of my education is to play competitive college baseball and pursue my educational goals in engineering or a related technical major.
