Many say they love the game of baseball, but do they love the process and hard work needed to be great? I can confidently say I do. Since I was very young, baseball has been my number one priority along with my schooling. I am lucky enough to be gifted with natural athleticism. When I was little I would water ski and snow ski working on balance and upper body without realizing it at the time. It has helped me develop as an athlete over time. One big lesson baseball has taught me is that nothing is guaranteed. Every day on the field I work to be better than yesterday. I am a primary shortstop with a crafty glove and a secondary pitcher with a lot of stamina on the mound. My home was shortstop with my travel team but when they needed a pitcher I was able to step up. In the semi final game of the buckeye tournament I threw 105 pitches across 6 and ⅔ innings. After moving back to shortstop, I then made the final out. We went on to win the Buckeye Elite at Ohio State.
I am from Derry Area High School with an athletic 5’10’’ 185 lb frame. My competitive nature pushes me to compete with those around me. I strive for challenge and have a determination to win. I am consistent in the weight room because I know to play baseball at a high level I need to be strong. My goal is to play professional ball and I’m ready to put in all the work necessary to get there. I find calmness in stressful moments and that’s why I’m the guy they put in when we need an out or a run. I don’t shy away when the lights are bright. Baseball has also taught me to be a leader. Ever since I was a freshman in high school, I was a guy people could look up to. I showed them that nothing is guaranteed because again I worked my way to my position on varsity. My parents have taught me to always be humble and finish what I start. That has helped me become the great teammate and leader I am today. I am excited to see where my career takes me and I hope to have a long road ahead of me.
Thank you
