My name is Mark Gorman and I am a Conwell-Egan Catholic High School student of the class of 2022. I believe that my relentless work ethic, love of the game, and desire to do anything to help my team win makes me fit for a college baseball program. Each chance I get to go out and play this game, I have a strong desire to not only make myself better as a person and an athlete, but also to make an impact on my teammates.
Coming into high school, I knew the struggles my high school team had faced in the past. It was evident in my freshman year as well, as we did not get the results we were looking for as a team. However, my goal coming in was to be a part of helping the CEC baseball program reach new heights. I wanted to embrace the challenge and opportunity of transforming a high school baseball program and help us to be able to compete in such a highly competitive league. I have given myself the obligation to make myself and my teammates the best players we can be each day of practice, I want to do my part in bringing a high school and its baseball program to new heights, and leave a legacy that will continue once I move on.
My goal for the future is to graduate at the top of my class in high school and pursue my education at a place where I can be challenged academically and continue playing the game I love. I am willing to put in all the work necessary to achieve my dreams and thrive at my highest potential as an athlete, student, and person.
