Personal Statement
I am a 5'10" junior from Drums, PA (located in the western Pocono's) currently attending Hazleton Area High School where I am a catcher and play 3rd base for the Cougar's baseball team (I am also on the swim team). Academically, I am in the top ten percent of my class where I take all honors clases. I am looking to attend a university where I can major in Mathematics and Secondary Education with my goal of one day becoming a high school Math teacher (eventually receiving my Doctorate and teaching at a university). I also want to play baseball and would hope to be able to start in my freshman year. I think that my talents (on and off of the playing field) would be a great asset to any university that I would be interested in attending. I am open to traveling far from home, but would prefer to attend a university that is within my geographical area (to allow my parents to attend most of my baseball games).
