Nicklaus Payne '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nick Payne. I am a 2021 student-athlete at the Hazleton Area High School. My primary position is a catcher and I also play 1st and 3rd.  I like to hunt and play baseball. I aspire, whether I play baseball in college or not, to continue my academic career. When I started playing the game of baseball, I always had the dream off playing in the next level. I started off playing in t-ball, and continued to move up. Throughout the years, the love for the game has excelled. I just love playing the game. Every time I go between the those white lines I give it everything I got. To get better you do not have to have someone there with you. It is the things behind the scenes that make you better. My goal everyday is to get better at something. Whether it is to get better at hitting, fielding, catching, or something mentally. Some good characteristics about myself are hardworking, self willing, good teammate/student, teachable, persitent, and determined. These characteristics make me the player I am today, and they will help me achieve my goal to play at the next level.
