Matthew Barton '18 Recruiting Profile

I've been surrounded by the game of baseball my entire life. My father, Shawn Barton, is a major league alumni. Growing up, he's taught me what it takes to further my career in baseball. I've been taught to be the best overall person I can be, whether it's on the field, in the classroom, or just in society. This previous year, I was named an All-Divion athlete at Muhlenberg High School. I was 4-0 with a .9 ERA, 3 complete games, and 1 no-hitter. Academically, I am a High Honors student, and I've ended the year with a 3.9 GPA. I would like to attend a college which holds my preferred major; Engineering. I will be entering my senior year at Muhlenberg High School in Reading, Pennsylvania.
