Michael Henrie '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Henrie, a 6'3", 200 lbs. LHP/1st Baseman. My pitch repertoire includes a Sinker, Curveball, and Circle Change. On the academic side, mechanical engineering or mechatronics are my preferred fields of study, specific major I am undecided. My grades are excellent, having taken rigorous courses for all of high school.  I plan to continue taking such rigorous courses at an institution that offers such programs within my desired fields. For a baseball program, I hope to play in a highly competitive environment alongside coaches and players that foster to the strengths and weaknesses of their players to get them to the next level by any means necessary.  I always plan to train all aspects of my game either as a LHP, 1st Baseman, or Hitter. In return, I strive to compete at the highest level I can in whatever circumstance or obstacle that comes my way. It is with this drive that I hope to be a valuable 2-way player for whatever team I land with.  The recruiting process has exposed and allowed my weaknesses and strengths to grow in shaping who I am today, for that I have learned a lot. With such experience, I have been humbled and found the epiphany that hard work, grit will carry you far is true, and I hope to exercise that fact with my future ballclub.
