Connor Wagaman '26 Recruiting Profile

I love playing sports, and baseball is by far my favorite sport to play.  I have played baseball since I was 5, when it first became available to me.  But, even prior to that, I was out in the yard playing catch with my dad.  Baseball is a passion both my dad and I share.  When I was 8, I played on our area Little League Minors team and that’s when I really started to love pitching.  I did well that year, so well, the league wanted to move me to play with the older team.

From there, I moved to our Majors Little League team and when we were 10, our all-star team went to the state tournament.  I pitched our first game, which we won!  It was the first time any team from our town’s Little League ever won a game at the state tournament.

I wanted to keep the momentum going after the state tournament, so I played travel baseball that summer.  It was the best summer of my life, to this point.  Baseball isn’t only about playing, it’s about being in a team environment, having fun, making friends, and really learning how to be a leader.

I currently play High School baseball, American Legion baseball, and Travel baseball.  I also play basketball as well.  I played football, starting when I was 5, through my freshman year in high school. I was the quarterback for many years and even made it to our mini-football Super Bowl 3 times, winning once.  I like the variety of playing multiple sports.  Moving forward, I have decided to focus on baseball, while still enjoying basketball. 

I am really interested in playing baseball at the collegiate level and with my hard work both on and off the field, I feel I can accomplish that goal.  I have many great qualities that I would bring to any team.  I am a team player with a positive attitude and an internal drive to be better, not just for me, but for my team. 

I am looking forward to finding a school that will allow me to follow my goal of playing in college, while getting a great education.  I can’t wait for my future to begin taking shape!  Thanks for reading.
