Personal Statement
My name is Cameron Cook, I am going into my sophmore year at Phoenixville Area High School in Pennsylvania. I play baseball year round, usually on 4-5 different teams. I played freshman baseball last year and am expected to be up on varsity this year as the utility player. Also, my GPA was 3.0 my freshman year.
I'm average sized for my age at 5'7 but I have tremendous speed, quick hands, and very good range in the middle infield. My stolen base percent is over 80%. My accomplishents are that I have been on 4 all star teams in 4 years, I was co-captian of my freshman team, and I was MVP of the championship game at my Babe Ruth league. Teams benefit from me in many ways; I play my heart out every play of every game and I play with so much intensity. Losing is never an option for me. However, I have a short memory. If I make an error, I shake it off and make sure the next ball is fielded cleanly. As I mentioned earlier I have very good speed and I do not strike out often. The size of the college I go to is not important to me. My biggest dream and main goal is to play college baseball. I am originally from Massachusetts so I would greatly enjoy being back there or anywhere in the New England region. I have not chosen a major yet but I am really interested and enjoy business and law. Finally, my goal is to play college baseball and do what I love while also getting a good education to prepare myself for life if baseball doesn't pan out as a career.
